Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society (LVVS) are inviting you to their established event on 1 April 2018 (Easter Sunday) at the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum in North Hykeham, Lincoln, to view and ride classic vehicles. The event will also host workshops, stalls and enthusiast stands.

LVVS have said on their event webpage that “many of the buses and cars from our collection, and visiting vehicles, on the road [are] offering rides”. There will be refreshments including “hot and cold drinks, filled rolls, and a large selection of cakes”.

Admission to the event is £7 which includes a programme and schedule. Children under 16 accompanied by an adult can enter free of charge.

LVVS have named these free vintage bus rides for the event and shouldn’t be confused with ‘real’ public bus services in Lincoln that have similar names.

The LVVS ‘Park and Ride’ will run from Teal Park to the event every 10 to 15 minutes from 10:00 until 17:00.

The LVVS ‘City Centre Bus Service’ will run every 15 minutes from 10:00.

A programme nearer to the time of the event will detail additional rides including country bus routes and excursions.

LVVS will also have a number of vintages cars on the road for visitors to ride in from 12:00.

LVVS are encouraging owners of “historic, classic and interesting” vehicles to contact them in advance and bring them along to show off to visitors at the event.

On their event page, LVVS have said “all rides are free but we would strongly encourage visitors to purchase a programme which helps to cover the event's operating costs as well as helping to restore and maintain the vehicles in use.”

“These events could not continue to run without the financial support of our visitors to whom we are grateful. All funds raised will go towards the running of our open days and upkeep of the Museum and vehicles.”

You can find the most up-to-date information about the event on the LVVS website.
